On Thursday 10th November our girls football team travelled to Jack Hunt School to participate in the Peterborough Girls Football Tournament. This was a huge event consisting of 16 schools from all over Peterborough.
The teams were split into two groups of 8 and the team started sensationally with a 2-1 win over Newborough. This was then followed by two draws 0-0 and 1-1 before getting back to winning ways against Hampton Hargate who we beat 4-0. We then finished the group stage off with 3 more wins. We won 1-0 against Barnack, 2-1 against Longthorpe and finally 3-0 against Abbotsmede.
This meant that our team progressed through to the semi finals where we unfortunately lost to the eventual winners of the tournament, Kings.
Overall the girls managed to finish in 3rd place and were abolutely brilliant. They played some truly sensational football and represented us incredibly well with the courage, determination and enthusiasm that they showed throughout. We are really proud of them all.
