During this half term some of our children have been fortunate enough to represent our school in a variety of sporting activities.
The year 3/4 hockey team took part in the Peterborough tournament and were fantastic winning 6 out of their 7 matches and scoring some excellent team goals!
Our Y5/6 Mixed football team took part in two league matches. In the first match they managed to beat Braybrook Primary School 6-1 before losing 3-1 in their match vs St Johns Church School.
The Y5/6 Girls football team have participated in a wide range of tournaments and matches. At the YDP tournament they showed great performances and narrowly missed out on the semi finals on goal difference! They then finished 4th in their group at the ESFA tournament before narrowly losing 2-0 to Elton Primary School in their girls league match.
Additionally, our Year 5/6 netball team took part in the Nene Park tournament where they received some expert coaching before managing to win their match 5-2 vs Barnack Primary School.
Furthermore, the Year 3 children travelled to the Peterborough United Footbal Club's training ground where they received coaching from the PUFC coaches. After this they took part in a friendly tournament against the other schools in attendance.
Finally, our Year 5/6 football team also went to the Peterborough United Training Ground to take part in the PUFC Cup. After being placed in a really tricky group the children managed to finish 3rd in their group and did not progress to the semi finals.
Altogether we have been really proud of the efforts of these children and can't wait to see where their super sporting stories go next!
