“As Chair of Governors I am immensely proud of Winyates school. Its transformation into what we all now regard as being a ‘good’ school has been a momentous journey and our working partnership with St John’s Church School nearby, with whom we share our Executive Headteacher, has been the driving force behind many of the improvements we see today. I am happy that our children leave us with a very secure grasp of the basics of reading, writing and maths. The value that we add to the children’s education is increasing year on year and our results last year were our highest ever. Our teachers are high quality professionals who never settle for second best. Visitors to our school such as other heads and teachers, new parents and members of the community are always impressed when they see our school in action. They often remark on the children’s good behaviour and their real desire to get on with their work and do their best. So I would urge local parents to come and find out for themselves, as visitors are always welcome!”

We provide so many exciting and wonderful opportunities for children both in and outside of the classroom and it is a real pleasure to play a part in this.
